The home at 95 Alder Street is part of BRH latest project, 6 units of affordable, energy-efficient homes on three scattered sites in the Arlington and lower Towerhill Neighborhoods of Lawrence. Having built to the ENERGY STAR Homes standard since 2004, the Alder Street development will be their first project that is being built with a near-zero energy goal. The project will utilize 3.42 kW of PV power, advanced insulation strategies, and high efficiency mechanical equipment to drive the projects HERS score down. BRH will also cast a keen eye towards the efficiency ratings of all lighting, appliances and water consuming fixtures.
